On-the-Job Action Learning

Action learning allows individuals to use real-life content to improve their skills and outcomes.

Action learning allows individuals to use real-life content to improve their skills and outcomes. For individuals who are facing a change, implementing a project or adjusting to create a new culture, action learning is a practical and effect way to both do the work and learn how to better do the work.

The action learning process includes a number of phases…

  1. Formation of team.
  2. Presentation of problem/challenge/project/task.
  3. Understanding and reframing the problem/challenge/project/task.
  4. Determining goals.
  5. Developing and testing action-strategies.
  6. Taking action and reflecting on the action.

In this process, our skilled workshop leaders facilitate learning through the completion of an overall project, which is identified either in conjunction with the participants or pre-determined by senior leaders or other stakeholders.
